Being Optimistic in the New Year

As I checked my calendar, March has several holidays that make me think of you. The month of March is Optimism Month, and this month also has National Dentist Day and World Backup Day.

Let's first focus on March as Optimism Month. As we are a few months into the new year, there are tons of things I'm optimistic about. Last year, I gained a lot of experience - through the good and the bad. Before my parents passed away last year, and as I was with them as much as possible, my dad and mom always told me to put my business and family first. I am so happy I spent that time with them — in fact, I now feel more clarity toward my business than ever. So, in honor of my parents, 2022 is the year where I focus on my lab and all of our doctors and new doctors who will come on board with us.

I'm feeling optimistic and excited about what the future holds for me and my business. It feels as though a lot of things are finally falling into place.

The nonprofit dental clinic that I am partnered with has also infused optimism into my life. We have provided many people with the dental care they need. Together, we help those in our community who don't have insurance to cover their dental needs. Everyone deserves proper care, and I'm happy that I can help my community in this way. Dr. Nam, who runs Just Health 510, has been awesome to work with. He loves what I'm doing, so this year, there are new opportunities coming together. I'm excited to see where this goes and to help more patients in the future. My dad was an advocate for his community. So, I'm following in his footsteps and advocating for mine and the surrounding areas.

March 6 is also National Dentist's Day! I want to recognize and thank all of the doctors who are currently partnered with my lab as well as future doctors I will get to work with. All of you have done a tremendous job at providing the best care for your patients, and I am so honored and thankful to work together with you to help make that possible. Thank you for allowing me and my lab to be a part of your team and for trusting me to provide you with your lab services.

It may surprise you that World Backup Day is March 31, and this day makes me think of you as well. Although people mainly think about backing up important data on their computers, I think about backup labs. It's good business sense for every dentist and, more importantly, for your patients because you never know when you'll need a backup lab.

As I think about you during these special days in March, I want you to know I appreciate you! I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the year for all of us!
